Hannah has seen casinos at work in Detroit and has joined the fight to stop them in Philadelphia because "casinos take money out of the community. They take from poor people. They take without giving anything back." In Detroit, casinos have not solved the problem of 22% unemployment, and last year, they suffered their first decline in revenues. Now the city of Detroit is bailing out one of the casinos as it tries to sell itself to another developer. Is that the future of casinos in our community?
