SugarHouse and Foxwoods casinos have been allowed to undemocratically enter Philadelphia and take over the riverfront without our consent.

While they claim to create jobs, casinos will actually close local businesses and bring a range of social ills into the city, such as gambling addiction, access to alcohol 24/7, increased policing and surveillance costs, decreased property values, and increased poverty.

In response to SugarHouse’s opening, we are painting a mural portraying a community-based vision for the riverfront from all of Philadelphia’s residents.

Whether or not you can attend this event, be sure to add your name to the mural!
