Foxwoods is dead. Join us in Harrisburg!

Foxwoods lost their game of chance

Foxwoods is now dead. Take a moment and recall how many times you were told to give up by Governor Rendell, Senator Fumo, Councilman DiCicco, Mayor Nutter, and the rest of them. Think about how hard we've worked over the last years to kill Foxwoods; and now it's dead.

This predatory project has been delayed so long that Foxwoods has dropped out. The local investors are back to square one, and we've learned that we can win.

Now let's redouble our efforts and derail the proposed Wynn casino by going to Harrisburg, where we'll mark another victory by giving the fake-tanned face of predatory gambling a welcome he'll never forget.

What: Bus trip to Gaming Control Board hearing

When: Wednesday, March 3, at 7:15am

Where: Meet at 30th & Market Streets

Cost: $25 per person suggested donation

We are developing a great plan of action and we'll bond on this trip to demonstrate Philly's power!

The past week has been one our busiest. First, we went to criminal court and were acquitted of all charges from our blockade at the site of SugarHouse's future bankruptcy back in September. If you missed the coverage, watch us on CNN.

That's right, you made national news again and will continue to do so!

Then, just two days later, we participated in the PA gubernatorial debate where we forced the candidates to make clear pledges about the predatory gambling trade. Watch the video.

Finally, earlier this week, we attended the PA Gaming Congress and were sickened as Mayor Nutter completed his full flip-flop -- from predatory gambling opponent to an industry puppet.

Help us continue our fight against casinos in Philly -- be it SugarHouse, Foxwoods or Wynn -- and sign up for the bus now!

If you can't make the trip, please donate generously to Casino-Free below so we can continue working for you. Philadelphia needs your help.
