Stand with us tomorrow

Yesterday we held a training for the action tomorrow morning. Participants came from all over the city: Fishtown, Chinatown, Kensington, Powelton Village, Northern Liberties, West Philly, Queen Village, Frankford, Old City just to name a few. At the end of the training we closed with one word from each person.

Fierce. Psyched. Proud. Strong. Confident. Excited. Calm. Supported. Resolved.

Are you ready? Can you join us tomorrow at 6 AM to support those taking nonviolent direct action to stop the proposed SugarHouse casino?

We will be meeting at the intersection of Frankford and Delaware Avenues in Fishtown/Northern Liberties.

We will stand together for what we believe in. We want a city that thrives because of true economic development, not a job killing predatory business that relies on addiction to succeed. We will succeed in driving the casinos into the red by bankrupting casinos before they bankrupt us.
